Break

Okay we're taking a break this school semester. We both have a lot on our plates at the moment so there isn't really any time for putting together a podcast.
We do hope to continue later on but right now the timing isn't right.

Episode 2: Sugar Socks??? shownotes

Sorry for being late this week, Amanda and I may have to change the day we record because of school and schedules hopefully life will get more normal and we can record on time next week.

Faalon is now going by her true name Amanda

Nea's Needles
MS3 still sitting in a drawer a little past clue 3
Wheat Ear Cable Yoke by Pam Allen is waiting on sleeves to move on.

Around here we lost our heads and began having trouble concentrating. Unfortunately a fuzzy noise starts in here and I just realized this morning that it was the A/C when I heard both at the same time. We'll try to aviod that problem next time.

A's back is now feeling better (At least I guess so since she went to a concert tonight).

Episode 2: Sugar Socks???

This week we have recorded! Finally, I say, but this week we talked about several topics which at this moment I don't rememeber. The Fabulous Fiber Fest 2007 is covered in more detail of the goings on. The show notes will be posted here once Nea gets a chance to sit down as relax a bit.

We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoy recording!

You can find us separately at:
"Amanda" (Faalon) at: The Crochet Maiden,
and "Nea" at Lady Nea Kintsalot

Sorry no podcast this weekend

We're taking the weekend off because of the Santa Monica Fiber Festival and the FOUR AND A HALF HOUR drive home (which should have been no more than 2 hand a half hours) and staying up is not an option today.

We may make next week's episode a bit early because of this and since someone starts school again this week

Have a great weekend!

Oops

And because I am clearly not used to putting together show notes here's what I accidentally left out for episode 1.

The opening and closing music is from the jingles section on Garagebang called 'Shetland'.

Misses Lime and Violet are the podcast we referenced.

(p.s. I apologize if you start to hear a bubbly noise in the background once we start talking about our projects, we didn't hear it while we were editing.)

Cheingora which I did mention so I thought I'd put in a link.

And since this was our first episode we will be better next time instead of mumbling and then giggling the whole time.

Yarn Gnomes: Episode 1

As promised here are the shownotes with everything we talked about in the episode.

Projects
Pomatomus Socks are in the works for the 4th time for Nea
And the Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke from Interweave Knits Summer 2007 for Nea
Drop stitch scarf for Faalon
And Faalon's Granny Square blanket

News
The Santa Monica Fiber Fest on August 17, 18, and 19. We'll be there on the 17th.
Ravelry I'm on there as Nea, Faalon is still on the waiting list. If you aren't signed up yet, why not?
The Lime and Violet Knitwars, so if you need some motivation go sign up and reward yourself with points, and if you have spending troubles only use up your points for yarn purchases (you'll still have to pay for the yarn yourself but it can help).

Yarn Links
Knit2 Purl2 is closing and having a 50% off yarn sale to clear out.
And Faalon found The Geeky Goddess on Etsy, she is new so she doesn't have too many colorways but they are very pretty. As a plus $2 of every purchase is donated to charity. So help out someone in need and get gorgous yarn.

You can find us separately at:
Faalon is the Crochet Maiden
and I'm Lady Nea Knitsalot
or contact us at yarngnomes [AT] yahoo [DOT] com.

So thanks for coming by and listening to our first episode, we hope to see you next week!
